Overview

Double fronted dark weatherboard house with casement windows either side of a central front door with a glass panel in the upper half. Front and side verandah supported by square posts. A brick chimney protrudes from the right side of a corrugated iron roof.

Historical information

Land purchased from Maria Hampton Gray by George Lucas. Weatherboard and iron house built in 1924 for George and Mary Lucas. Up to 9 goats kept at rear of property, which were allowed to forage in the bush. Original house demolished in 1976 and replaced with brick and tile house for daughters, Win and Ethel, and "granny flat" for Mary. Sold in 1988 by Win and Ethel. Three dwellings currently (2000) on the large site.
