Wedding Of William Percival Oliver And Amanda Ida Schruth

1907
Overview

Studio portrait of the wedding group consisting of bride, bridegroom, four bridesmaids and groomsmen in typical pose with bridegroom seated and bride standing to better display dress. Men are all in dark three piece suits (except for groom who wears a light double-breasted waistcoat) high collared light shirts and light bow ties. The bride wears a high-necked, long-sleeved, long frock falling in soft folds, a long veil caught with a floral arrangement and she is holding a large bouquet. The bridesmaids are wearing frocks of the same style but slightly different patterns (the one on the left appears to wear a shorter version and may be younger). Their hats are the extravagantly large ones of the era . Three hats trimmed with feathers, one with fruit. They are holding 'shepherds' crooks' to which bouquets are attached.
