Very fine pair of cuffs, handmade bobbin Bedfordshire lace, made from a strip of continuous lace edging.
Made in England circa 1900. Bedfordshire, in the English Midlands, includes Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire, renowned home to lacemakers for several centuries
The scrolling design has plaited brides (bars) and a nine-pin edge.
