LACE, HONITON, COLLAR
Exquisite example of traditional Honiton lace with floral and leaf motifs. This piece has been reclaimed from a garment. The motifs of fine cotton thread have been joined by plaited brides and are outlined with a gimp.
Motifs are formed in cloth and half stitches with the centre of the flower motifs represented by square tallies.
