The Royal Aero Club of New South Wales drink coaster
Circular drink coaster produced by The Royal Aero Club of New South Wales. It is made from cream coloured card and features the logo of the aero club - a winged kangaroo - printed in gold with a sky blue background inside a gold border with a Kings Crown at the top.
Either side of the central disc are two wings with rust coloured feathers and gold detailing. The words 'The Royal Aero Club' are printed in matching blue around the top of the circle, while the remainder of the sentence 'Of N.S.W.' is printed around the bottom.
There are a few marks and a small stain indicating that the coaster may have been used.
The reverse is plain.
This coaster was likely used in the clubrooms of the Royal Aero Club of N.S.W. or given away as a souvenir to visitors.
Given that the logo has the Kings Crown on top, it was likely made pre-1953 when the Queen became the ruling monarch.
