Black and white photograph of pioneering New Zealand aviatrix, Jean Batten, kissing her own portrait in the foyer of the Royal Aero Club of N.S.W. in 1970.
The framed portrait is hung on a painted or wallpapered wall adjacent to a masonry wall with a horizontal shelf holding silver presentation cups. The photo is not particularly clear.
Jean Batten is wearing a dark coloured jacket with striped collar and cuffs. possibly from a shirt or dress, and a white pillbox hat. She is leaning forward and has her face pressed to the portrait.
The reverse of the photograph has a description written in pencil, the date '1970' written in blue ink, and a black ink 'Royal Aero Club of N.S.W.' stamp.
