1915 - 1917A small black and white photograph showing formal gardens with a flat lawn and various types of trees. In the background a small bridge can be seen with people standing on it. The image has a white border, and one side of the image is very dark from its development. The reverse of the image has the proforma printing of part of a postcard and an inscription in black ink.
The Delta Barrage Bridge was situated across the Nile outside Cairo. The Barrage Gardens by the bridge was a popular spot for Cairo residents and visitors, including Australian soldiers.
