First World War Black and White Photographic Postcard of the interior of the Basilica of the Ecce Homo Jerusalem

Overview

A small black and white photograph showing part of the interior of a chapel. The image is taken looking up at a domed arch where there is a large statue that depicts an adult man who stands on a plinth with two (2) angels kneeling one either side. There is a cross mosaic in the ceiling above the statue and two (2) large candelabras at either side. Underneath the statue is an inscription in Latin. Below the inscription is an altar with candles and flowers. An ornate lamp can also be seen hanging from the left wall. The reverse of the image has the proforma printing of part of a postcard and an inscription. The photograph has a small border and is in good condition.
