The door has an ornate brick façade on which there is a sign with the building’s name. Three sets of windows can be seen set into the tiled roof and there is what appears to be a chimney on the center of the roof. Outside of the entrance several soldiers can be seen lying on the grass. Other people can be seen walking in the area. The bottom center of the image has the shadow of a soldier. The image has a white border and is in good condition. The reverse of the image has the proforma printing of part of a postcard and an inscription in black ink.
The Delta Barrage Bridge was situated across the Nile outside Cairo. The Barrage Gardens by the bridge was a popular spot for Cairo residents and visitors, including Australian soldiers. Within the gardens, was an "Irrigation Museum". Initially holding the barrages' models, this museum, was one of Egypt's earliest.
