Image: Oil painting of the Subiaco Historical Society Museum completed in 1977 by Anthony Lazberger and titled 'The 'Old Museum' at Subiaco, Western Australia'.

In the image there are trees flanking the red brick building and shrubs and flowers in front. Three vents are visible in the south end of the hipped tin roof. These were subsequently removed during renovations. One chimney of the Subiaco State School shows up on the right side behind the museum roof. The museum board is shown to the left of the front door (later was moved to the right) and one upright was omitted.

Signature: Bottom right 'The 'Old Museum' at Subiaco, Western Australia Athony Lazberger 1977'.

Frame: The mount is creamy white and the crown wooden frame is painted gold on its outer edge.

Historical information

The painting was bought at a W.A. Newspaper Art Exhibition held in the Supreme Court Gardens, Perth.
