Mannequin Display - 2nd Anglo Boer War, 1st Western Australian Contingent, 1899
This mannequin depicts the blue and khaki uniform mix worn by the 1st Western Australian contingent when it departed for South Africa on 5 November 1899. A shortage of khaki material led to the retention of existing blue tunics and blue puttees.

Leather accoutrements are original but blue and khaki elements are representational of the period.
