World War 2 Signaling Lamp
Updated version of the Lucas Lamp produced during World War 2.
Jospeh Lucas Ltd was founded by Joseph Lucas in Birmingham, United Kingdom, in 1897, as a manufacturer of bicycle lamps, bicycle accessories, and motorcycle and automotive electrical parts and accessories. The lamp design was patented in 1916 by Oliver Lucas. The World War 2 version was essentially identical but in a metal rather than wooden box

This radio is located in the Communications Gallery commissioned by the Australian Army Museum of Western Australia as part of the Centenary commemorations of the Royal Australian Corp of Signals. Communication devices used by the Australian Army also are presented in their operational context throughout the Museum.
