PHOTOGRAPH: TENNIS PLAYERS WITH MISS GILLIES
c. 1930The black and white photo features five young ladies in tennis dress, four with large brimmed white hats, and one older lady in a floral dress standing in the centre. The group is standing against the net on a tennis court. The lady in the floral dress is Miss Gillies, but the other ladies are unknown. A double storey house is visible in the background - it has not been identified but could possibly be Miss Gillies home. Apparently this little group met regularly here for tennis. The museum holds the original photograph only.
