c. 1920a-c) The black metal trees are made up of two pieces hinged together so that they can be adjusted accordingly to the shoe sizes. The heel is a small curved piece of metal and the toe a larger curved piece of metal, almost like hoods. Both are attached to rigid metal stays.
Part c) has broken away.
