Bronze Souvenir Medal of the XXIVth Olympiad Seoul 1988
A bronze Souvenir Medal from the Games of the XXIVth Olympiad Seoul 1988, presented in a blue velvet presentation box with gold coloured edges. The inside of the box lid is lined with white satin, showing the triple swirl logo of the Seoul Olympics, the five-ring emblem of the Olympics and the words 'Games of the XXIVth Olympiad Seoul 1988'. The obverse of the medal is embossed with the Seoul Olympics logo, the five-ring Olympic emblem and the words 'XXIV Olympiad Seoul 1988'. The reverse of the medal is embossed with an image of an Asian pagoda with mountains, moon, clouds and flying geese in the background.

This medal was donated to the Baseball WA Museum & Archives by the family of Western Australian umpire Alan Luscombe. Alan's career included officiating at local, state, national and international baseball competitions.
