A sepia coloured photo of three young girls with serious expressions, all formally dressed in below knee length frocks.
There is water mark staining and slight damage to edge of photo.
Left to right: Laura is standing with her left arm/hand on the back of the chair on which Ethel is sitting. She is holding a book on her lap.
Ann is standing to her left with right arm behind Ethel's chair.
All girls have long hair (below the shoulder) and Laura and Ann are wearing lace collars. Laced boots are on their feet.
Daughters of Henry James Twine (1841-1913) and Sarah Hannah Twine, nee Mead (1846-1907): Ethel Hannah (1879-1952), Laura Ann (1881-1895), Ann Elinor (b.1883).

Historical information

Henry and Sarah had 11 children in total, 6 boys & 5 girls. Not in this photograph was an older girl, Mary Jane, and a younger girl, Mena Olive.
Five of the boys were older than the three girls shown in the photograph and the sixth boy was the youngest of all the siblings.
The eldest boy, Henry James, died at around age 12 before any of the girls in this photograph were born.
