A small sepia photograph of 7 men (in 2 groups of 3 & 4) standing in front of the northern [?] end of the road bridge over the Avon River, looking back to Newcastle (Toodyay).
[Direction is debatable, could be the town end of the bridge, looking north, due the buildings being on the left side] .
The event is said to be the completion of the bridge in Nov. 1900.
Men in photo: Joseph Ablett Wroth, Thomas Binning (Policeman). William Amed Demasson, Robert Minson, Tommy (James Thomas?) Woods, Charles Lloyd, M.R. Adreiy.

Historical information

Builder of bridge, MR Adreiy, is in the photograph on right with his left hand on bridge rail.

William Ahmed Demasson died 14 May 1924 aged 71 years.
