Overview

A sepia coloured photo of James Butterly in formal dress; suit, waistcoat, shirt and tie.
He is sitting in a chair with his right arm resting on a small circular, three-legged tripod table which is covered in a fringed tapestry cloth; upon which is a large vase of flowers and leaves.
A painted backdrop is behind the subject, and the ground looks like gravel, so possibly taken out of doors.
Mr Butterly has greying hair, and white chin whiskers.
There is some damage to the photo.
