Peter Collyn was a locomotive driver of the train between Toodyay and Clackline.
He died from chronic nephritis at 69 years of age. Collyn was born in Plymouth, and arrived in Western Australia at 26 years of age. After his retirement 11 years prior to his death, he entered into farming with his sons at Cunderdin. After his death he left a widow, five daughters & two sons.
His elder son died later in the same year, killed in action during WW1.
