Dear Sir
I received your note of Invoice enclosed and have rectified the error £ 5.8.0 – not £ 5.18.0. I must own it was rather a careless error but I do not wonder at it particularly considering the complication of affairs that I have to look after and think about you know pretty well yourself it is something in this style I am preparing the Invoice somebody calls out “Enter” I leave it and enter I finish that and have another try another comes and wants to look into their old (?) a/c and perhaps after that their new a/c and what with one thing & the other I have enough to think about and a few mistakes are excusable I am obliged for your trouble in rectifying this one I will be very careful in future I send you Invoices of sundries sent last week it is as well for you to have them so as to keep you Invoice Book straight Mr Maley has not yet returned the Diamond I wanted to use of Yesterday please see to this
Yours truly
J Walker
