Letter from Thomas Rowe to Arnold Meadowcroft
1889handwritten letter on paper. Unfortunately, in the 1970s it was placed on a sticky mountboard.
Thomas Rowe (c1838/9-1904) was a member of the Police Force and then Inspector of Northern & Southern Districts. As this letter indicates, he owned land at Greenough.
Arnold Meadowcroft (1866-1950) was a businessman and accountant at Geraldton.

Mr A Meadowcroft

Dear Sir
I am in receipt of your letter dated 12th inst asking my views on the matter of Mr Gales Bankruptcy and asking me for instructions thereon. I have no views to pass or instruction to give in the matter & my lawyer who has charge of my Business in Geraldton is not of the colony (Mr Farrelly) and had left before I got your letter or I should refer you to him.
The only information I can give you is that Mr Gale has no interest in any property with me except the
half interest as a Tenant in Common in 101 acres of land at the Greenough. I do not know whether the number is 1604 or not. I hope you will be careful as to the which half is to be sold.
I would be willing to take three pounds per acre for my 50 ½ acres.
I remain
Yours faithfully
Thos Rowe
