This 1938 Claxton Shield program formed part of the baseball memorabilia collection of Ray Allen, who played for Wests Baseball Club in the 1950s. It has been given to the Baseball WA Museum & Archives on permanent loan by the Ray Allen family.
A rare and historic item of significance relating to Western Australia's second appearance at the Australian Baseball Tournament for the coveted Claxton Shield. The programme has good provenance.
