Historical information

The Western Australian Country Week Baseball Carnival commenced in June 1956, when 'Goldfields' won its first title. Goldfields were again successful in 1957, 1959, 1960 and 1961. Bunbury won the title in 1958. The program for the Seventh Country Week Baseball Carnival in 1962 included an image of the 1961 'Goldfields' Champion team. Goldfields won the championship again in 1962 and 1963.
