Overview

An A4-size poster headed 'Baseball's Back' Baseball Park is displayed in a black plastic frame. The background colour of the poster is yellow ochre; text is black or red. A white band across the lower edge of the poster displays seven logos of associated organisations and sponsors. A white diamond shape in the top right quadrant displays the logos of the Western Heelers and Baseball NSW and the name of the baseball series. In the centre of the poster is a white baseball with flames attached. Printed inside the baseball are the dates, times and venues for the three games to be played. Curved around the ball are the names of the competing teams. Printed below the baseball are a contact phone number and Web address, addresses of the venues and entry fees.

Historical information

Baseball Park in Thornlie, Western Australia, was built in 2004, with a seating capacity of 1500 and standing room for a further 2500. It was Perth's first baseball-exclusive stadium since the demolition of Parry Field in the 1990s. This poster advertises the official opening night game between the Western Heelers and the New South Wales Patriots. Games 2 and 3 in the East West Challenge Series were played at Merlin Oval in Mandurah.
