Overview

A dark-blue baseball cap with a blue fabric-covered top button and blue thread stitched around the eyelets in the crown. Fused to the front panel is an oval-shaped decal of the IBA (International Baseball Association) logo. The name of the Association is written in English above an image of a world globe, and in Spanish below the globe. Across the globe are the letters 'IBA' and an image of a baseballer with bat in hand. The two inside front panels of the crown are lined with white stiffening fabric. The underside of the visor is lined with the dark-blue fabric. The snapback closure is blue plastic.

Inside the cap the initials 'AFL' are handwritten in black ink on the manufacturer's label.

Historical information

This International Baseball Association cap belonged to Alan Luscombe, Western Australian baseball umpire, and would have been worn by him at an international baseball championship. Luscombe's initials 'AFL' have been written inside the cap.
