Overview

Hand painted Wembley Ware china lamp base in shape of large dhufish standing on its tail, mouth open. Opalescent blue/green/ pink glaze. Interior cream glaze. Has hole in base that will take lamp fitting. Has detailed moulding of scales and fins. Base depicts rippling sea water.

Base: On base in black printing 'WEMBLEY' DHUFISH T.V. LAMP APP: No: S_58

Historical information

See 2006.1. The dhufish lamp base was also produced as a vase. It was an immensely popular line with employees and the general public.
