MEDAL CASE - CITY OF ARMADALE CENTURY MEDAL
1994A velvet case with a metal clasp at the back to allow the case to open.
Inside the box there's two beige squares. the top one has a makers mark that reads in golden witting [Sheridan's / PERTH / W.A.].
The bottom square has a depression in the middle in order to be able to hold part a / the medal better.
In 1994, the City of Armadale celebrated their centenary. Originally beginning back in 1894 as the Kelmscott Roads Board the first recorded minutes of the board were of a meeting on the 5th April 1894. In 1910 the board was renamed the Armadale - Kelmscott Roads Board and in 1961 it become the Shire of Armadale- Kelmscott after the WA local Government Act passed. In 1979, the Town of Armadale was proclaimed, with Armadale becoming a city in 1985.
