Historical information

Eugene Tangney (c.1877-1961), son of Thomas Tangney (c.1857-1932) and Julia O'Donnell (c.1855-1943), was born in Listowel, County Kerry, Island.

Married Ellen Augustine Shanahan (c.1875-1946), daughter of Owen Shanahan and Bridget Ryan, in Kalgoorlie in 1901.

Eugene and Ellen had eight children: Phyllis Julia (1902-1975), Ellen 'Nell' Mary (1903-1988), Dorothy Margaret (1907-1985), Eugene (1908-1908), Kathleen Lily (1913-1976), Patricia Gloria (1914-2003), Kevin John (1916-1966) and Francis Max (1918-1979).
