West Australian Junior Baseball League 1986-87 Goodwill Games program
1986An 8-page A5-size program for the West Australian Junior Baseball League 1986-1987 Goodwill Games. The program is printed on off-white paper with black text and images. The front cover displays the logo of the WAJBL and the names of the competition, the teams and the sponsors, as well as the dates. Inside pages show the flags of the two competing countries, USA and Australia, the fixtures and team lists.
The 1986-1987 West Australian Junior Baseball League Goodwill Games was a USA–Australia Baseball Exchange between the Oregon Pioneers and the Western Australian Under-18 and Under-16 State teams. The games were played from Tuesday December 30, 1986 to Saturday January 3, 1987. All but one game were played at Parry Field Baseball Stadium in Belmont, and one at Inglewood Oval. The competition formed part of the Oregon Pioneers' 1986-87 Australian tour.
Sponsors of the games were Sharp and Sports Locker.

This program was donated to the Baseball WA Museum & Archives by the family of Alan Luscombe. Luscombe's career as a baseball umpire spanned local, state, national and international competition levels.

This rare 1986-87 program includes names of the USA Oregon Pioneers and West Australian Junior Baseball League's Under-16 and Under-18 players and their team officials and club affiliations. It has both historic and social significance and provides a source of information for researchers. It is in good condition and comes with impeccable provenance.
