1983 West Australian Junior Baseball League Under 15 State Cup program
1983A 20-page A5-size program for the 1983 West Australian Junior Baseball League 'Sports Locker Under-15 State Cup' competition. The paper program covers are yellow. The front cover has black text, the logo of the competition sponsor and a cartoon image of a bird dressed in a baseball uniform, holding a bat inscribed with the sponsor's name. Internal pages are off-white with black text and include the WAJBL President's report, rules and procedures of the competition, acknowledgements, the draw and fixtures, 10 team lists and a layout of the diamond.
The 1983 West Australian Junior Baseball League 'Sports Locker Under 15 State Cup' was the second year the competition was held. Eleven teams with over 180 of the best Under-15 baseballers in Western Australia participated, including a regional team from Port Hedland. The ten metropolitan teams were Wembley, Morley Eagles, Kelmscott, Victoria Park, South Perth, Swan Districts, Wanneroo, Perth, Cockburn Braves and West Stirling.
Games were played from Saturday 1 October to Monday 3 October on three diamonds at Forster Park in Belmont, providing an opportunity for selectors of the Under-15 State Team to see the best players in competition.

This program was donated to the Baseball WA Museum & Archives by the family of Alan Luscombe. Luscombe's career as a baseball umpire spanned local, state, national and international competition levels.
This 1983 program includes names of the best Under-15 West Australian Junior Baseball League players and their team officials. It has both historic and social significance and provides a source of information for researchers. It is in very good condition and comes with impeccable provenance.
