Royal Australian Artillery hat badge
Royal Australian Artillery metal hat badge. It features a King's crown at the top with a scroll bearing the motto 'Ubique'. Underneath this is a field gun with a scroll beneath it bearing the words 'Consensus Australia Stabiles'.
Three lugs for attachment are soldered to the reverse, with the top lug having the clip threaded through. There is no maker's mark.
The Royal Regiment of Australian Artillery (R.A.A.), commonly known as the Royal Australian Artillery, is a corps of the Australian Army. The R.A.A. descended from the original colonial artillery units prior to Australia's federation.
The same badge was issued during both World War One and World War Two.
