GRASS FROG, PLAITED
1992B/W Print. Print - overhead view of frog woven from Guildford Grass. Actual size. 3 double strands of grass bent and woven to form body and then plaited to form back legs. Another 3 double strands woven across body and plaited to form front legs. Ends of plaits released to form feet.
The frog was woven by a member of the Chinese Labour Corps on a Claremont to Perth train and given to Ethel Lucas on arrival at Perth. C 1942.
