Overview

Eight males posing as a firing squad. Seven are aiming replica rifles while one is pointing a large stick at a man seated in a park bench. The male on the right in light trousers has his hand in the air ready to issue the command to fire.

Claremont Teachers College was established to train teachers in Western Australia. Previously students had to travel to South Australia for teacher training.

One of a series of photographs of staff, students, buildings, and activities around Claremont Teachers College taken by Roy Grace between 1927-1928 when a student at Claremont Teachers College. During this time Roy was one of the photographers who contributed to the WA Trainee magazine.

After attending Claremont Teachers College, Roy became a high school science teacher. Roy's last posting was as the Deputy Principal of Churchlands Senior High School in 1972.
