After attending Claremont Teachers College, John Bruce Macaulay commenced his teaching career in Northam in 1929. John's last posting was in 1980 as Senior Master of Manual Arts at Cyril Jackson Senior High School.

Taken by Roy Grace between 1927-1928 when a student at Claremont Teachers College. Roy was one of the photographers for The WA Trainee magazine. After attending Claremont Teachers College, Roy became a high school science teacher. Roy's last posting was as the Deputy Principal of Churchlands Senior High School in 1972.
