Portion Vineyard
c. 1900A sepia photograph on a postcard of an extensive vineyard and in the background is a town. In the middle of the photograph are two horses harnessed to a small open dray and there is a man sitting on a seat. The wheels of the dray appear to be metal. In the far background (to the left of the horses head) is a two storey building.
The two storey building in the photograph would be the Katanning Flour mill.

In the top left hand corner of the postcard in brown typed lettering is "Portion Vineyard Shewing Katanning in Background F. & C. PIESSE, Proprietors. Katanning W.A."
On the back of the postcard printed in blue lettering is "POST CARD" and underneath this line are two columns with a heading for left hand column of "FOR CORRESPONDENCE" and the right hand column of "FOR ADDRESS ONLY" and in the top right hand corner a square with the words "PLACE POSTAGE STAMP HERE" in the square. On the left vertical side of the postcard in brown lettering is "N. P. G. PRINTED IN BERLIN FOR POWELL & SON".
