c. 1900A sepia photograph on a postcard of a dirt street with three two storey buildings on the right hand side of the street. In the street is a man driving a sulky down the street and there is a car parked in the street. There is a lady outside of the Flour mill pushing a pram and a young child, a dog crossing the intersection. There are two trees planted on the right hand side and there is a man walking down the street.
This postcard shows the "National Bank", "Premier Roller Flour Mill", "F&C. PIESSE", "Katanning Hotel" and the "King George Hostel".

In the top left hand corner of the postcard in brown typed lettering is "AUSTRAL TERRACE, KATANNING shewing Premier Roller Flour Mills. Property F.&C.PIESSE, Katanning."
On the back of the postcard printed in blue lettering is "POST CARD" and underneath this line are two columns with a heading for left hand column of "FOR CORRESPONDENCE" and the right hand column of "FOR ADDRESS ONLY" and in the top right hand corner a square with the words "PLACE POSTAGE STAMP HERE" in the square. On the left vertical side of the postcard in brown lettering is "N. P. G. PRINTED IN BERLIN FOR POWELL & SON".
