c. 1900A sepia photograph on a postcard of a brick and stone building. There are five men dressed in dark suits and one man dressed in a white suit standing outside the doorway to the building. There are two people peering out the doorway. Near the top of the building in black lettering "READING ROOM HALL LIBRARY". In the window on the left is a sign which reads "MEMBERS READING ROOM".

On the back of the postcard printed in black lettering is "POST CARD" and underneath this line are two columns with a heading for left hand column of "CORRESPONDENCE" and the right hand column of "ADDRESS ONLY" and in the top right hand corner a square with the words "KODAK" at the top and bottom and the words “AUSTRAL” on the sides. This square marks the position to put a stamp.
On the back of the postcard on the left vertical side stamped in black ink is "F. Martyn Katanning".
