Overview

A coloured photograph front side view of a tin building which has three windows, two cannot be opened and the other is a glass shutter window. The photograph is taken diagonally from across a road which has been bitumised. There is a black sign with white lettering on the building. There is also a black sign with white lettering in front of the building and a granite plaque. The tin roof is rusted is the middle and right hand side of the building.

Inscriptions and markings

The sign on the building reads "Datatine Hall". The sign in front of the building reads "Datatine" and underneath "School Site 1914 - 1949".

On the granite plaque is written in white lettering "Datatine Hall", underneath is "Built 1913". Underneath this line is "SCHOOL OPENED 1913 CLOSED 1943". Underneath this line is "CHURCH BEGAN 1913" and underneath is "PLACED BY DISTRICT PEOPLE AND EX-PUPILS 1943".
