Almost square tarnished brass plaque with engraved text: [MOSAIC KERB ARTWORK / This artwork was officially launched by / His Worship the Mayor / Cr R C Stubbs, JP / on 17 February 1999 / The Artwork reflects local indigenous / flora and fauna,and was jointly funded by / the City of Armadale and Healthway.]
In the bottom left corner is and engraving of the Armadale coat of arms which is a round belt with text on it [City of Armadale]. The area inside the belt divided into three. Top section is an image of the Narrogin Inn, bottom left section is an image of an orchard, bottom right is an image of a river.
In the bottom right corner is a oval logo with text inside it [SMARTER / than smoking],
Text along the bottom [Artist:John Burdgess]
On the back of the plaque is the residue of the adhesive used to attach the plaque to its original location.

Historical information

Plaque erected in Minnawarra Park on the mosaic artwork of local flora and fauna designed by John Burgess and made by John and local students. The public art work was revealed on 17 February 1999 by the mayor of the City of Armadale Cr Rodger Stubbs. The plaque was removed in 2018 due to major works redesigning the park.
