Electric Steam Iron
c. 1960 - 1969An iron with a metal base with holes, the handle is black and has a dial for temperature control and switch for steam. There is a small label glued under that handle, the cord is a black and white stripe material. The cord has a blue plastic sfatery cord attached to the iron and the plug at the other end has been removed.

Underneath the handle on the iron is a black and gold rectangular label, on the black background of the label in white lettering is "SUNBEAM", underneath on the gold background of the label is "STEAM OR DRY".
On the dial for temperature control in white lettering is "OFF RAY SILK STEAM WOOL COT LIN". Above this dial is a lever which has white lettering on the left "STEAM" and on the right is "OFF ON"
On the base of the iron which stands is etched "Sunbeam", underneath is "A STEAM OR DRY IRON", underneath is "MODEL AS4A VOLTS 240 AC ONLY", underneath is "1200 WATTS 11/17", underneath is " PAT No 211795 RRD. No 34025", underneath IS"USE WITH POWER OUTLET ONLY"
