Doily
1937A hand embroidered doily with scallop shaped edges. The white edging is crotched in a scallop pattern. In the centre of the doily are half moon shaped orange and pale orange shapes connected by stems and leaves.
The half moon shapes are stitched in buttonhole stitch, and the leaves in lazy daisy stitch.
This doily was deaccessioned by the WA National Trust and was acquired by the Katanning Historical Society. It was made by Mrs RL Richardson of Katanning, it is unknown why they were in the possession of the National Trust.
