SEATS: REGAL THEATRE SET OF TWO CHAIRS

Overview

Set of two red fabric chairs from the Regal Theatre. The chairs have a fold up seat cushion and a second fabric back. There are three red fabric covered arm rests. The seats rest on a metal frame. The metal frame has six feet that are rounded and flare to the front. One side of the frame has a white painted letter 'V' and the other side 'W'.

The left hand chair has a larger more padded cushion which is also in a different boucle fabric.

Historical information

The Regal Chairs were donated by the Regal Theatre Foundation Limited following a refurbishment [Stage 1] of an ongoing programme of upgrading. The stage 1 programme was conducted for a period of 3 months over the 2015-16 Christmas period so we could have unimpeded access to the auditorium. I think the chairs were donated following the completion of Stage 1.

In use at the Regal until 2015.
