Overview

Horizontal cream postcard with gold oval which contains an image of a window that is obstructed by two pink roses and a bunch of smaller blue flowers, with a blue bird to the left and a flock of tiny blue birds to the right. Across the top of the oval in gold writing reads 'MANY HAPPY RETURNS'. Below the image reads 'Dearest my Birthday Gift is Love, / I give it all to you, / First as you wish so shall I prove, / And be forever true.' in alternating red and black text each line.The oval is surrounded by a yellow vertical stripped boarder with blue bows in each top corner.

The reverse has a cursive handwritten message in black ink. 'No pen can write / No tongue can tell / Ehat fond throughts of you / within my Heart doth dwell.' is quoted at the top in inverted commas. Below more writing reads: 'To the best sweethear in the / world ''My Husband'(''Dennis'') / wishing you the Happiest of / Birthdays & prosperity in / the future from your / everloving wife Lillian XXX / 12-5-21'
