DRAWN THREAD, TEA CLOTH
A good example of a handmade linen teacloth where a machine made tape has been used to create motifs which have needlelace fillings. The design consists of a butterfly with different needle lace patterns on the wings and body, in each corner of the cloth. A strip of drawn thread work between the motifs and the edge is bordered with a deep hem finished with herringbone hem stitch and a wide band of unusual crochet.
