CROSS STITCH, PIN CUSHION

1996
Overview

This unusual square pincushion, hand embroidered on linen in cross stitch, was made as a fundraiser by Marjorie Pearse, a past President of the Guild. In 1996 the Guild purchased a HQ at 565 Canning Highway, Alfred Cove, and huge fundraising projects took place. Purchased by the donor.

The pincushion, yellow flowers and green leaves in Art Deco design, is padded with dacron and stitched onto a square cardboard base covered with fabric and having a twisted cord around the edge.
