LACE, BOBBIN, HONITON, BODICE

Hand made Honiton lace motifs appliqued onto machine made net. More likely to be Honiton than Brussels as Brussels used more stylised designs. The bodice, a sleeveless garment is made of machine made net all in one piece front and back with a slit at the front. On either side of a shaped neckline, the tiny Honiton lace motifs are appliqued, the bodice ties around the waist.
