Historical information

HMAS Anzac III (FFH 150) was launched on 16 September 1994 by Lieutenant Colonel V. Statham, better known as Vivian Bullwinkle, and commissioned on 18 May 1996. The first of 10 Anzac Class frigates she was built by Tenix Defence Systems at Williamstown in Victoria. HMAS Anzac’s motto is “United We Stand” and she was the ‘First Lady of the Fleet”, being the oldest ship in the fleet between15 June 2023 and her decommissioning on 18 May 2024.
