A rectangular pamphlet, with eight pages. The front cover shows, in black and white, a Scottish archer, holding a longbow in his left hand and an arrow in his right, with a target and a quiver of arrows off to his right.There is text in green and white: green[ARMADALE / HIGHLAND / GATHERING / 1995], and white:[ OFFICIAL PROGRAMME $1], The back cover has an advert for Andy's Classic Limousines. Inside pages have the Opening Address, List of officials, Origins, Records and programme of events, with score sheets to keep a tally of the events throughout the day.

Historical information

The Highland Gathering was started by the City of Armadale in 1994 and was a community event that was themed around Scottish culture. The event featured various games throughout the day included, Heavy events (Shot put,Hammer throw,Caber toss,and 56lb. weight for distance and height), Country Dancing, Tug of War and Running events, also the State mini bands competition. The games were opened by the Mayor Roger Stubbs J.P.

The Highland Gathering was a community festival started by the City of Armadale in 1994 with a Scottish heritage theme and featuring Scottish culture including events such as a caber toss, tug of war, Scottish dancing and a bagpipe competition. The event has continued to run through the 1990s and into the 2020's. The Highland Gathering is one of the City of Armadale's key community events that it holds each year.
