The manufacture's name and logo appear on top of iron - an arrow surrounded by a loosely knotted rope and the letter 'S'. The sole is convex instead of the usual flat sole irons.
The iron's convex sole have starched fabric a shiny, glossy appearance when rubbed hard. Item popular early 20th century when fashion dictated the need for shiny, starched shirt collars and even dresses.
