IRON, BENZENE 'VICTORY' (IN BOX)
a) Self heating benzene iron finished in light green porcelain and with darker green wooden grip on its metal handle. A bracket attached to back of iron supports a small fuel tank with the fuel pipe running just below. The heat is regulated by means of a black knob and there are ventilation holes along the sides. Raised letters on a metal plate screwed to the metal handle reads as follows: 'QUIRKS VICTORY IRON NO. 66 229 Castlereagh St. Sydney'.
b) A small brass cylindrical pump was used to build up pressure.
c) Small brass funnel with narrow spout to fill tank with benzine.
d) Rectangular brown cardboard box with paper label on either side listing the advantages of the iron such as '5 hours ironing for two pence', 'No danger of electrocution' etc. The name and address of the manufacturers appear below.
